The 3rd race of the Cap-Pele 2018 series was held on July 21, 2018. This race had a great turnout with some very large classes. There were racers from all over NB, NS, and a growing group from PEI. The novelty to this race was the layout was run in reverse direction, which worked very well and added variety for the racers. Feedback from the racers was very positive and we may see this again in the future. With the number of racers in attendance there was only time for 2 qualifiers with the finals.
The day started quite warm and sunny, without a hint of wind. By 1:00 the wind had picked up and by the end of the raceday it had clouded over but temperatures were nice and warm. The track started a bit dusty, and with Dario and George watering between rounds it never really kept the dust down.
Plaques were provided by 333 Customs, MRCR gave a few Timcards, and Freedom Hobbies provided gift certificates to the racers! The results from this race will be added to the overall series points.

Gregg continued from that point to hold the lead for 1st. Jeremy, who was running a new car, was able to catch Kyle after the flip and challenged him for the 2nd spot throughout the race, with Kyle taking 2nd and Jeremy finishing 3rd. But a mechanical issue would end his day in SCT, giving the chance for Eric to take the lead. Eric would then lead for most of the race, until the last stages where he would need a marshal and Zack went by for the 1st bump up spot while Eric would take the 2nd spot. Chris would recover from an early crash to work his way up to the 3rd spot.
