The 2022 Maritime Championship was held from Aug 5th thru Aug 7th at the BlackFly Offroad race track in Saint-Laurent, NB.
This race was the largest race in the Maritime provinces in the 2022 offroad race season, attracting racers from the provinces of Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
The track was resurfaced with many loads of fresh clay before the event into a new layout to challenge the racers. After an initial day of practice, the track crew came out during the night and patched up the potholes that formed and packed everything to make the race surface very raceable for the qualifiers and finals. The the track held up well for the entire multi-day event with the maintenance crew making repairs during the evening.
The weather held up great over the multi-day event. The days were hot and sunny which was great for the racers pitting trackside and who were camping onsite.
The weekend was packed full of racing, door prizes, and awards for all podiums in all mains!
